Users who need to track multiple deliveries from several sources often need to check many Web sites for information. Delivery Status for Mac allows users to track many sources easily from one location, making it a useful app for those with many deliveries.
The program is available as a free widget for the Mac dashboard. Delivery Status for Mac installs quickly into the widget area, but the user does have to add it to the dashboard to operate. Once set up, the application's interface is easy to use, despite the lack of user instructions. Support for product updates is available from the developer. After entering an order number and the Web site from which the order came, the tracking information for the item displays clearly. If there is a log-in required, such as for Amazon.com, that information can be entered and saved. The deliveries can also be linked to an outside e-mail address for notifications, although this function was not tested. Additional features are not available, but since this is a free application, that is not a detriment. The log-in and tracking information did display well during testing.
For those users who need to track packages from several sources, Delivery Status for Mac performs this function well, but average users may not find it useful.
Can't wait for your packages to arrive? Don't waste your time checking the site constantly, just open this all-in-one delivery tracker and enter your order number or tracking number. The status will update automatically for you, and even count down the days. It also works with Growl to give you pop-up message, email notifications, and more, whenever your package status changes. If you have more than one order, just open another copy of the widget so you can keep an eye on them all at once.
What's new in this version:
- Now compatible with OS X Yosemite (10.10).
