Bring a context menu editor, autoplay editor, and default programs editor together in an easy to use interface.
Default Programs Editor is a powerful file association utility for Windows that brings a context menu editor, autoplay editor, and default programs editor together in an easy to use interface. Default Programs Editor allows you to add, edit, and delete context menu items, edit file type information such as icon and description, change an extension's associated file type, and more. You can also add, edit, and delete autoplay handler programs, change which autoplay options are available for any media type, and change the default autoplay handler. Additionally, you can add or remove default associations (possible to check, but not un-check, in Windows) Default Programs Editor can make direct changes to the system registry, or export edits as .reg files for distribution.
Quickly and easily changed the EDIT file association for htm and html files on my Windows 7-64 machine. Much easier than changing registry locations directly.
Cons
Installation was not intuitive. The install program places the file "DefaultProgramsEditor.zip" in your download folder. You have to find it, unzip it and move "Default Programs Editor.exe" to where you want.
I did not check the other features of this program.
Summary
Very useful program for those who want to change the "EDIT" or "PRINT" file associations on the right click options menu.
HORRIBLE!!

Pros
None - it doesn't do ANYTHING!
Cons
- Completely useless
- Confusing layout
Summary
I downloaded this to fix my file association back to default -- when you select to delete the program associated with deleting a file, it just changes it to a different (still wrong!) program. What a waste of time!!
