Curve fitting functions include polynomial and versatile local regressions. Interpolations include linear, cubic spline, and a 'flexible' spline for more control of the spline shape. Data smoothing functions include moving average, median filter, and Gaussian smoothing. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Version: Data Curve Fit Creator Add-in 2.01
"Simple, flexible curve fitting in Excel"
Pros: This is a nice add-in to Excel that lets you do a bunch different types of curve fits directly in Excel. It is pretty simple to use and does what it was supposed to do.
Cons: Maybe it could give more examples of how to use the functions
Summary: This did the polynomial curve fitting and smoothing that I was looking for directly in Excel. It was also nice because I could easily change the order of the polynomial fit and amount of smoothing. It also had other curve fitting functions that lo... read more >>
