WinBook Document Manager allows to create, organize and manage multiple documents within one data file. With WinBook you can create catalogs and hierarchy of any kind of documents, for example business letters, reports, brochures, articles. Plus, every WinBook document can contain different objects, embedded inside, like pictures, archives (like ZIP, RAR files), another documents (like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, even another WinBook documents). In addition to the standard set of document processing functionality provided (tabs, ability to use different fonts, using tables, printing) WinBook also provides a wide variety of useful features, like: Archiving; Encrypting; Ability to Export/Import the whole or the part of WinBook document; For Cyrillic alphabet users WinBook provides build-in conversion from/to CP1251(Windows), KOI-8, CP866(DOS) and UNICODE encodings.

Not a bad program....but could use some work.

Pros
Basic and to the point, has some good features. You don't find drag & drop that often in document management, so its nice to have. gives good details on documents.
Cons
When i change general settings, they do not stay, and have to setup each document I load, not that user friendly, but it doesn't need a computer tech to know whats going on. Takes some getting use to.

Pros
Winbook 3.1 is an great program - with all of the current features it provides. <p>Drag and Drop files into your projects, New Pages - drilled down to detail levels. <p> <p>There are too many reasons why I like and use this software. I highly recommend it, although - don't expect to see all the bells and whistles!
Cons
The look and feel of this software does need a face-lift. <p> <p>1) Content - (Top of TreeView) - unable to change name or have it default to the title of the saved filename. By not allowing us to change content - it just doesn't look professional. Right-Click - Change Name or DBL-Click Change Name is really needed for this Top Tree Level. <p> <p>2) Only a single Content is allowed. It would be nice to add more (Top Levels) to the current book. <p> <p>3) Remembering Settings. Every time I load a file - I have to reset the look and feel of the program. This needs to be a priority - because it gets old quick. Resizing the tree each and everytime is just nuts! <p> <p>4) Icons - It would be nice to change these or have a few options given for different pages! This would give it a better look and feel. Right Click - select Icons - change to one of several possibilities! One-Size doesn't fit all. <p> <p>5) Some files I drag and drop - open and paste themselve into the document. I want them showing up as a file in the document. Like to know how to fix this! <p> <p>Overall - these items above would add a little class to the program, but still doesn't take away the power of the program.
