Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 8.0
Pros: -I found out in 20 minutes that it would not work. Didn't have to waste a lot of time playing with the trial.
-I did not pay any money for thisCons: I wasted 20 minutes of my life on a thoroughly undertested mess
Summary: Usually bad reviews for a product on Cnet are a little bit overblown. In the case of PowerDirector, they don't seem to go nearly far enough. It took a full 5 minutes to even load on my new Windows 7 machine. When it finally loaded, nothing worke... read more >>

Pros: 1. Stabilisation module when it works is a dream.
2. Video noise reduction good.
Look there are soo many good things about this program, if they could just fix it.Cons: Does not support i7cpu unless you disable 6 of the 8 cores, this solution is from Cyberlink support!!!!

My advice though if you want to keep your ... read more >> -

"When will they fix the memory leak?!?"
Pros: UI looks good
Cons: The longer you work, the more memory it requires. You have to save/close/restart it at least every 5 min which is very annoying especially if you work with large video projects and have to reload the large video files.
Summary: This is junk!!! Don't even waste your precious bandwidth downloading the trial!

Cons: I regretted that I bought Power Director 8. During pass week I am been wasting lots of time to get the capturing feature to work, so far there is no luck from captuing my vdo clips from camcorder. Very frustrating!!!
Summary: I used to love Power Director but NOT Power Director 8 - It's a wasting time and money.
