Used Console for Windows?
Editors’ Review
This free program offers more extensive functionalities than the ordinary Windows command console, and adds a bit of pizzazz in the process.
Console looks similar to the old DOS-command environment, but it is enhanced with a modern Windows interface with file menus and buttons. Among its features, you can easily customize the background color, window size, font type and size, and startup directory--normally you would have to type commands just to be able to do so. Also, the application allows you to copy and paste a whole directory address. Console lets you open multiple command consoles in tabs instead of opening several command console windows, a helpful feature to reduce desktop clutter.
The program is self-executable, so it doesn't need any installation. Intermediate and advanced users who frequently work in the DOS environment will find the additional features useful.
