Publisher's Description
From NCH Software:
Classic FTP is an easy to use ftp client that allows you to view, edit, upload, download and delete files from a Web site or network. As its name suggests, Classic FTP has been specifically designed to look and feel like a typical ftp software client. Whilst offering all the same features as other ftp clients, Classic FTP is perfect for both advanced and novice website administrators.
Version 1.06 is a bug fixing release.
What's new in this version: Added "anonymous" login; added log messages for file and folder deletions; changed default User Name prompt on FTP Site Properties and Setup Wizard dialogs from 'username' to 'anonymous'; changed to allow users to add an FTP site that doesn't require a User Name or Password; changed to allow multiple users per site; bug fixes.

"Terrible Terrible Waste of Money"
Version: Classic FTP for Mac 2.13
Pros
Can't think of a good thing about it other than it downloaded easily! Ugh!
Cons
First attempt to use it was fine. Couple weeks later I tried again and nothing. Bought the program and all it does is bounce in the dock. Never launches. Support tried to help to no avail. I deleted it using AppCleaner.
Summary
Stay away from this program. There are better ones available - even cheap or nearly free ones like Courier (mozilla app). In fact I heartily recommend Courier!

"This Product is NO LONGER FREE LICENCE"
Version: Classic FTP for Mac 2.13
Pros
all basic functions of FTP available.
Cons
Without any previous warning at installation, after 14 days product stopped working - asks to purchase license but advertised as FREE on both download.com and also on apple's website. I may have decided to pay if they would have not tried to hide!
Summary
Basic FTP client - NOT FREE AS ADVERTISED.

"Works, but waay too slow"
Version: Classic FTP for Mac 2.13
Pros
It works - it is free, it connects to FTP servers. Haven't done any large file transfers to see how it performs on that end.
Cons
Very slow, no ability to cancel operations, no status bar - those are my complaints.
Summary
Keep looking

"Not that easy to get to know at first"
Version: Classic FTP for Mac 2.13
Pros
Once I got it to work,it was fine, although not as intuitive as mac programs usually are.I had to seek help from more knowledgeable persons as the help supplied wasn't helpful at all.
Cons
No help under the help menu. Defaulted to Mac Classic which isn't on my computer! Being a total novice I didn't know what it was supposed to do or how it was supposed to work, so I had big problems getting started.
Summary
I would like this product to come with either an online manual, or better still, a pdf manual that can be printed out. The help supplied assumed prior knowledge of the program or at least prior knowledge of FTP clients. As a complete novice, it was like stumbling around in the dark until I found someone who knew what to do to get started. After that it was a doddle. So better help would be my only wish - perhaps one of the members of the Classic Community could put something together and they could assume that the person they are writing for knows nothing about FTP clients.

"works super slow"
Version: Classic FTP for Mac 2.13
Pros
Easy to use.
Cons
Slow to respond to every click.
Summary
I'd use it if I had a small website with a couple of pages, but it is a drag to use for anything larger than that.
-
"very unstable"
Version: Classic FTP for Mac 2.13
Pros
It works one file at a time
Cons
pretty dang slow, the most unstable program on my mac.
Summary
if you upload 1 or 2 files.. this is perfect, if you upload lots and want it to work in the background... ouch.

"An excellent FTP ckient. Easy to use and set up."
Version: Classic FTP for Mac 2.13
Pros
I can't see what more you can demand of an FTP client, but now I am not a very experienced user when It comes to writing HTML-code and uploading the files.
In spite of that, even I succeeded to get it working at the first attempt.Cons
A great piece of work and I can't find any reason to complain about the performance of Classic FTP.
-
"Totally useless"

Pros
Nothing at all
Cons
Didn't work with my external HD
Summary
Useless

-
"Easy, simple... Too simple."
Version: Classic FTP for Mac 2.13
Pros
It's easy to use with an uncomplicated interface that's quick to learn.
Cons
My big gripe that made this program instantly unusable to me is the inability to upload from external drives attached to my mac.
