Chrometa automatically captures and organizes the time you spend on your PC, facilitating your ability to accurately bill all your time. With Chrometa, you just work and Chrometa watches in the background. It logs all your computer activity, and also helps you capture phone and meeting time spent away from your PC. Categorize your activities to clients/projects with a simple drag and drop (just like organizing your Outlook inbox). Because Chrometa is "smart", it will remember your categorizations for future use, making time reconciliation a snap. Step away from your PC, and Chrometa starts its away timer. When you get back to your PC, it will remind you to add a note about your away time. Password protects application access so only you are authorized to view your data. Block Chrometa from tracking any application. Records and breaks down your time by application, e-mail, Web page, and document. View total times for each item by day, week, month, or a custom date range. Categorize your activities to clients/projects with a single click (just like organizing your Outlook inbox).

A life saver for time keeping!

Pros
Keeps track of my time passively and automatically - that's the key - no start/stop timer required! Very accurate data - beautiful UI - easy to make sense of my time entries.
Cons
None really, for the $99 price you can't beat it.
Summary
If you spend too much time tracking and reconciling your time, this is the perfect product for you!

Pros
Easiest time tracking app I've ever used. Usually it's too much work to track my time - I work on too many things at once, and just can't enter it as I go, or start/stop a timer. Chrometa rocks because I just work, and pull it up once a day.
Cons
Would like to be able to sync up multiple machines
Summary
Overall great for people who bill hourly. I used to spend hours every week reconciling my time, and I've now got that down to a few minutes with Chrometa.
Passive Time Tracking - Brilliant!

Pros
The concept of passive time tracking is brilliant. I can go into Chrometa once a day, and quickly file all of my time. Way easier and less awkward than having to start/stop a timer throughout the day. Also I love the away time feature!
Cons
I requested to be able to edit an away time entry without having to retype the whole thing, and the vendor told me to keep an eye out for a future update!
Summary
Can't beat the price, and once you start using it, you won't be able to stop. A real life saver when it comes to time reconciliation!

Can't print out my Excel reports, but it sounds like that will work in the next release.
Summary
Fairly simple to install. It tracks all documents that I work on, and how long I spend working on proposals, web research, and in my email. I have clients in India and Japan who prefer to speak on Skype, and the calls show up on the weekly totals. I like the product because I just push a button, and it deals with the math.

None. It looked like it was going to be an amazing applicaiton until I used it.
Cons
Hard to use, Can't define clients. Can't define applications. It would not recognize any of my desktop applications and looked like one long stream on one application. the only application it segregated was FireFox pages visited. Can't add apps
Summary
Not worth the price. It has a lot of potential and if these things were fixed I would buy it.
The easiest Time Billing package I have ever used.

Summary
I downloaded this program to keep track of how I use my time during the day and increase my productivity. I have been reading some books and they mentionned that keeping track of what you do and reviewing it daily is the best way to change habits. I came across this program it works great! It is just so easy to install and run and works exactly as advertised. I've used it for a few days now and have already found out what times of day my mind wanders, how much time i waste reading cnn article and watching utube video forwards. This is such a cool tool! It's definitley worth the 30-day free trial...I'm addicted already.
Simple and straightforward to set up and use.

It's clean, simple and easy to use, and I don't have to "think" about tracking my time.
Cons
Can't see any.
Summary
While not an attorney, I'm more of a free agent that needs to track my time for numerous clients and projects and this seems to really provide me with some flexible ways to scale this daunting task, and I'm excited about deploying it in this fashion. The best products or tools are ones that simply the complexity of the task by making it easy and repeatable. I see Chrometa as doing that, and that in one word is simply elegant.
