Used Chaos MD5 for Windows?
Editors’ Review
With a minimum of fuss, this simple freeware tool generates MD5 checksums from your files and select texts. Chaos MD5's bare-bones interface is barely more than a file name line, and a pair of buttons. If you understand the use of an MD5 code, you can use this app. Well, you can use it if you can drag a file, but you'll understand it if you know the use of a checksum.
Run ChaosMD5's executable to get the interface. Drag and drop a file on the file browse box, press a button and you'll immediately see the file's MD5 checksum. It's also easy to use the internal file browse command to get a file for checksum generation. In addition to file checksum creation, Chaos MD5 gives users the ability to type in a line of text to generate a MD5 checksum. The only problem was that testers complained that some files failed to generate a checksum.
Chaos MD5 is a simple freeware executable that quickly displays MD5 checksums. File traders, system administrators, and those with a need to prove file security will find this app quick, useful, and accurate.
