"Scanner is fine - software is a pain to install"
Pros: When it works it is fine
Cons: very fussy on installing if you have any other canon software loaded - sometimes need to scan the registry to clear old remnants.
Canon really needs to improve the 'friendliness' of all their software - everything i have used from Canon has been difficult to use.
