Though it's not the most intuitive program initially, this Clipboard utility stores and offers quick access to copied images and text. You don't install CLCL, it comes as two executable files, one for clip management and one to access Options, and both sport utilitarian interfaces. CLCL organizes clips in a simple tree-view list with only three sections, Clipboard, History, and Template. View by type under the first, while the second holds all clips. You can sort by any category, including the source document, and edit entries. There's no Help file and not enough guidance to understand the Template option or when to use it. Access clips a number of ways, including Alt C to bring up a menu of clips. Select one to automatically paste it. Text formatting isn't saved. While there are more user-friendly programs on the market, this freebie offers quick access to images and text.Publisher's description

Version: CLCL 1.1.2
Cons: Dreadful!
First, it comes as a zip file and you have to unpack it. When you do, there are two executable files - one starts the program and the other starts the options window. There is no installer, no icon on the desktop, no entry in programs and no uninstaller.
Niether window has a help option.
I made two simple clips from MS word both containing text and a small graphic and tried to paste them back. I clicked on the entries and nothing happened. Then I discovered that to paste back, you have to right click on the entry and select Send To Clipbord. Go back to Word and edit/paste.
Both clips pasted back only the text without the graphic.
Its dreadful - dont waste your time like I did!

Version: CLCL 1.1.2
Pros: If you're just a button pusher who doesn't like like to customize your software setup this may not be for you, but if you don't mind a minimal amount of tweaking you will be thoroughly satisfied with this program.
It can even be used as a portable app.

Version: CLCL 1.1.2
Pros: The main advantage is the free availability. It is very useful for me and save time. I don't need to search for smth I've copied before, just Alt+V and I can select what I want.

"Nice little clipboard-saving program"
Pros: Does the job of saving your clipboard items so you can go back and use them later.

"A fantastic clipboard manager, especially for the price."
Pros: I'll say right off that this program isn't for novice PC users. But if you're a little more experienced and don't mind spending a few extra minutes experimenting and setting it up, you'll probably find this to be a great little utility. I can say without reservation that it's the best freeware clipboard manager I've come across (and I've looked at quite a few). It has all the basic features, plus a few extras, it isn't a resource hog, and it's inconspicuous.
To get the most out of CLCL, I highly recommend that you download the extra plugins from the developers's website right after you get the program.
Again, this isn't something novice users will likely be comfortable with, but intermediate-to-advanced users will see the benefits right away.
Cons: The documentation could be improved (in fact, there really isn't any). That's the only minus though. The program is perfect otherwise, at least for my needs.
