    "How pointless can you get?"

This script seems to do several unecessary operations to achieve something that iTunes makes simplicity itself to do in the first place. Why on earth bother?

    "My iTunes is special"

    May 24, 2005   |   By Xeater

    Version: CD2Tunes 1.0

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Apparently I have a special version of iTunes on my Mac. All I do is slip in a CD and iTunes automatically fetches title and track info and then shows an import widget in the upper right. I point at it, "click" it, and a few minutes later the CD tracks are all in my iTunes library.

So apparently other Mac users have the normal version of iTunes that doesn't work so elegantly? I guess this script is a good thing for them. On my computer it actually makes it more difficult to import audio CDs into my iTunes library.

    "***???"

What the heck is the purpose of this?? I put in my CD and iTunes automatically grabs the track and album info from CDDB. Then I click the Import button in the upper-right corner and find something else to do while the tracks import. I don't know why this author thinks he needs to go through all this extra work just to rip a CD, but as far as I can tell this script is utterly pointless. Ripping CDs in iTunes is literally a one-click process -- it just couldn't be any simpler.

And of course, this is all assuming that you don't have the preference turned on that automatically imports CD tracks when the disc is inserted -- in that case, it's a no-click process. Again, ***???
