I have (and use) Toast and several other software burners, but 90% of the time, I just drop a folder on the icon for Burnz and away I go. IMHO, this should be on every desktop that belongs to someone who burns CDs.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I've repeatedly run into problems burning a CD of my home folder. I tried a number of product and produced a lot of coasters. Burnz, and its pre-burn validation feature pinpointed my problem for me, which was some files with permission problems (which Disk Utility was not finding). So, I've scrapped the other programs and am sticking with Burnz.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I had always used Toast and Jam from day 1. I bought Burnz several months ago and never used it. After the first DVD I burned from the Finder I tried Burnz; wow what a difference! It's a simple app and that is where its beauty lies.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I make mulitmedia CDs for a living, and so I buy CD-Rs by the bucket-full, and may burn 20 or more CDs a day, when testing X-platform titles. Burnz is on my desktop, and is my choice not only for testing, but for most releases as well. It's fast, x-platform, and drag-and-drop simple. No: it doesn't have a lot of features, but that's EXACTLY what it's designed to be. If it started getting feature-itis, I'd have a lower, not higher, opinion of it. This is a great, simple, effective tool, and should be in the tool box of anyone who burns more that a CD a week, IMHO. highly recommended.

Burnz does exactly what it says it will, and worked better than anything I looked at. The fact that it doesn't require space equal to the size of the media on your hard disk almost sold me by itself. The dead-simple UI clinched the deal. Drag, click, done. I'd like a bit more documentation, even though it's not essential since the app's so simple.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Very simple to use, and very quick. The alias-resolving feature is a great help in creating CDs from multiple folders, etc. That alone differentiates it from the free burners I've used.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This product is not only twise as fast as the finder, if not faster, but has a very important feature:it writes directories for HFS+, Joliette, Rockridge and ISO 9660 1 and 2 onto the CD by default (although, if you wish, you can eliminate some of these). In short, it's a universal drag-n-drop CD solution. That means your granny and her PC can read your CD! Burnz is now my day-to-day burner, and I highly recommend it.
