There are no major bugs and the board looks nice.

This game is clearly stacked against the user. The computer rolls doubles WAY more often than you ever will. Also, if you have a blot that can be hit, the computer will almost certainly roll the number it needs to hit it. I've played this game several times over the past week and have been frustrated by the obviously intentional level of difficulty. I don't mind a challenging Backgammon game, but I want a fair one.

Don't download this unless you don't mind losing to a cheat.

As with all the backgammon games I've tried to download from this site, its a stupid installer and thinks you want its website as your homepage.

If you simply want to wile away a few minutes/hours simply playing a game of backgammon with your pc, I'd try Google.

The buttons are a bit cryptic with words describing them appearing away from the button at the bottom of the screen.
It would be nice if the menu and/or instructions would come up when it starts up, at least the first couple of times to help us moderately knowledgable computer people.Summary
Over all I liked the game but not enough to purchase it for $20. The game that come with Hoyles 2005 Board Games is almost as good with the exception of the cube.

I have played backgammon as well as other dice games and sometimes wonder if the computer is set up against the player - on purpose - i.e. it is focused on a win. Well, this one was so clear I only played it a few times to be convinced that it is!

Uncanny how this thing rolls doubles for itself. One thing a computer should be perfect at is a truly random dice roll. Too bad. Would otherwise have gladly paid for this.
