"Jetico BCArchive v2.0.0.2"
Version: BCArchive 1.08.3
Pros
Very nice encryption packager to use on folders and files. Once you become familiar with the how-tos. You have a choice of several high-end encryptions which is what make this program worth having.
Easy "right click" to begin encrypting any folder or file.
Stable.
There is another freeware from this site called "BCTraveller" which is also worth checking out. It's a portable encryption software which can make and run AES (Rijndael) - KG Ghost encrypted containers so you can carry it anywhere and access the data on any computer available. As the name Suggest, good for travelling.
Cons
None at this time. Aside from taking a few minutes to learn....all worked as it says.

"Don't Waste Your Time - Use TrueCrypt"
Version: BCArchive 3.07.3
Pros
Provides Good Encryption. This program may be for you if you ONLY want basic encryption that's easy.
Cons
TrueCrypt (also free) integrates nicely with windows, and quite frankly is the best encryption freebie I have found. It also offers a hidden volume within your encrypted file for anyone who REALLY wants to secure their data.

"Excellent Encryption Software"
Version: BCArchive 3.07.3
Pros
This encryption software has a user friendly appeal to it and uses advanced encryption algorithms to protect files. Not much more to be said. If you need encryption, this is an ideal method of doing it.
Cons
Minor bugs, nothing too signficant to note

"I liked it"
Version: BCArchive 3.07.3
Pros
I use this software in addition to my favorite security app WinGuard Pro (which allows me to password protect my programs and personal files/folders). This is a great additonal to my security collection
Cons
I just wish there was one tool that did it all!

"Best Free encryption software."
Version: BCArchive 3.07.3
Pros
This is the best free encryption software I have found. It uses VERY powerful encryption algorithms, making it very secure. It also has the option of using public key encryption, which is very useful for sending information over the Internet. I also found it was very quick, even compared to some non-freeware software. This is a very good piece of software.
Cons
There are a few minor things that are not included, like securely deleting the original data. It would also be nice if it included integration into the file system, so you could negotiate BCAcives within windows, and not in the program.

"Good, but a few minor issues."
Version: BCArchive 3.07.3
Pros
BCArchive compresses files into an archive and has options for various encryption methods. Password-based algorithms and public-key encryption methods are available. The program will let you know if it thinks your password for the archive is too short and will prevent you from using the short password. There is also an option for no encryption or password protection.
Cons
There a few minor issues.
The version listed here at the time of this review ("BCArchive 3.07.3") is incorrect. In the "About" section of the program, the version listed is "BCArchive v. 1.06.5 for Windows." At the time of this review, on the publisher's website, under lastest fixes, the version listed is "1.06."
If you drag-and-drop to extract a file, you may have trouble deleting the file from the archive. You will have to restart the program so that you can delete the file that is in the archive.
Also, the modified times of an extracted file and its original are different by a few hours. For some reason (it's a bug), the program changes the modified time of an archived/extracted file and its original with a few hours' difference.
In an email from the publisher's support, the person who sent the reply was able to reproduce both errors. She apologized and said that the errors will be fixed in the near future.

"Solid program"
Version: BCArchive 3.07.3
Pros
This offers 448 bit blowfish encrytion. The government recommends about half that much so that in itself proves it encryption worthiness. It is also surprisingly easy to use for an encryption program.
Cons
Unencrypting multifiles can be a pain and once they are unencrypted you must find a way to shred them. Otherwise they can be resurrected with a file scavenger (program used to restore deleted files). Spybot Search and Destroy has a really nice file shredder that can be used to shred the unencrytped files.
