Apowersoft Free Audio Recorder is a straightforward yet effective audio recording program. It gives you the ability to free record PC sound into MP3/WMA/OGG/WAV files. Whether you love recording streaming music from the websites (including VEVO, Grooveshark, Jango, YouTube and Deezer), recording radio from internet radio stations such as Pandora, VOA, Live365 and BBC, or recording your own songs with a microphone, you can simply use this free sound recorder. And if you want to record the voice chat while talking with your friends on the Skype/MSN/Yahoo Messenger, you can choose to record audio from both the Sound Card and Microphone.
Except the ability to record audio for free, it also has the capability of skipping the silence passages in the process of recording. This is especially useful when you're recording a long-time audio which has a lot of blank spots. Besides the basic features for recording audio on computer, this free program even allows you to create scheduled tasks by setting the Start time and the Stop time in advance. So you can automatically record your favorite music/radio with this program while you are leaving. Even better, Apowersoft Free Audio Recorder serves as an ID3 tag identifier that can automatically identify the music file information (music title, artist, album or genre) while recording. Also, it supports to identify ID3 tags in batch, which is very helpful in correcting wrong tag information if you have a bunch of music files in mess. So, you don't need to add or edit ID3 tags for your music files manually.
Does what it says on the tin - records internet/streaming audio with no hassle. Not sure what the other reviewers here are on about - I have had no requests for upgrades etc (v2.3.4 build 03/05/2015). Been recording from soundcloud, youtube and it works fine. It even auto cuts at silences, the length of which you can define. Works under windows 10 as well.
Yes you have to pay for identifying songs not auto-recognized by the software.
Ignore the negative reviews - I experienced no nagging, spamming, malware-ing etc etc - it pretty much works as promised.
