"Worthless"
Version: Apollo DVD to iPod 3.2.3
Pros
I am hard pressed to find something that I liked about this product.
Cons
It reformated the size of the video making every conversion into a widescreen format. When I attempted to fix this and do what customer service suggested the video went from being widescreen to having the black bars on the right and left, as well as top and bottom, making the video very VERY SMALL. WHen I tried to get ahold of customer service it took them up to 5 days to email me back. The only way to get in touch with this publisher is through email, and they take their time in responding to any question. There are many better, and better supported, programs out there that do the same thing and cost about the same. I can not reccommend this product to anyone, unless you want to waste your money.

"GREAT BUY!"
Version: Apollo DVD to iPod 3.2
Pros
Converts them in a good quality, good enough for an iPod screen. Dependable. Doesn't convert them into massive files. I decided to buy it rather than using the 50% conversion trial. well worth my money! I fly a lot, so having my movies with me in a good format on my awesome 80 GB iPod was well worth the 35 bucks
Cons
Some DVD's it seemed to take longer than real time to convert. Every once and a while if you want to get some of the non-main features like deleted scenes, it gets confusing to figure out which files to convert.

"useless"
Version: Apollo DVD to iPod 3.2
Cons
This doesn't convert commmercial DVD's. You know, the kind you bought to watch on the 50' plasma and thought you'd convert for your iPod. Can't do it with this software.

"Works well"
Version: Apollo DVD to iPod 3.1.5
Pros
Just transfer a movie to my iPod using this software and it seems good
-
"It was not right for me"
Version: Apollo DVD to iPod 2.4
Pros
Quick download.
Cons
Personally I did not like the Apollo DVD to iPod 2.4. It did not fit my needs, and it may not fit yours aswell.
If you are expecting, like me, to put you favorite DVD onto your ipod or itunes, it probably will not work. Appolo DVD to ipod will not work with dvds that have a copyright on them. Let me tell you right now, most dvds do.
In conclusion, if you are expecting to watch a copyrighted dvd on your ipod with Apollo DVD to iPod 2.4, your expectations are too high.

"Excellent product for those that are new to Video/Audio conversion."
Version: Apollo DVD to iPod 2.4
Pros
When I first brought home my 60GB Video iPod I downloaded some stuff off iTunes and then started looking for a way to convert the movies and TV shows I had on DVD. I was looking for the golden bullet program that would allow a novice such as myself to convert DVDs to a format suitable for iPod without having to totally understand the process and in my opinion Apollo DVD to iPod is that program.
For about two weeks I searched the Internet for information about video/audio conversion so I would understand the issues then started looking at the various programs available. The biggest problem I had was getting the video and audio to sync during playback. At the start of the movie it would be in sync but by the end of a two hour movie the video would lead or lag the audio by a couple of seconds. I purchased and used several of the most mentioned applications but my search was over when I downloaded Apollo DVD to iPod converter. It was the golden bullet application I was looking for.
First of all it is very intuitive to use and you don't have to be an audio/video engineer to convert a DVD to iPod. My first attempt was successful with video and audio in sync at the end of a two hour movie (Batman Begins). I have played with the various quality levels and bit rate settings and have found the application to work flawless on the projects I have tried.
When I first started using the program I had reason to exchange email with one of the software developers at Apollo and I can tell you that their customer service was excellent and the issue I was having was worked until it was resolved. I was even able to get real time assistance via IM after exchanging a few emails.
If you're looking for a great application for converting DVD to iPod I highly recommend Apollo DVD to iPod Converter and if you're looking for a company with great customer service I recommend Apollo.
Cons
I have no complaints about this application.

"Thanks for fabular perfect product!"
Version: Apollo DVD to iPod 2.4
Pros
I just enjoied the trial copy and purchased it right now! I think it is a fabular perfect product, so I recommend it to anybody who owns Apple iPod. All the output products from it are high quality and with high speed to be finished. I have checked other programs similar to it, none of them is as good as this one, moreover, it's simple steps to copy your favor DVD movies to your Apple iPod. You don't have to know any computer and media knowledge to figure this one out. It's fabular perfect 1-click solution program. I think all the programs should be like this one.
