Age of Mythology transports players to a time when heroes did battle with monsters of legend and the gods intervened in the affairs of mortal men. Age of Mythology was created by Ensemble Studios. Players guide one of nine ancient civilizations to greatness by commanding all aspects of their empire, from establishing profitable trade routes and building new settlements to waging war and advancing through four distinct ages. In their struggle for supremacy, players can use mythological creatures like Minotaurs and Cyclopses to bolster their armies' strength, and they can call upon the gods for assistance in flattening enemy towns with meteors or scattering opposing troops with lightning storms.
What's new in this version:
- Updated the code base to PC version 1.07. (These changes are listed in detail below in section E.)
- Most of the changes for this version were for improving GameRanger support, which now works much better overall. In addition, the following specific changes were made:

This is a really great game. The mythology aspects could have been done in a frivolous way but instead they really add an entire new dimension to the game play. The campaign also has a neat range of challenges. The update fixed most of the bugs but I'm seeing one remaining bug that is really causing me difficulties. The Ai doesn't always respect the walls. Sometimes units walk right through the wall. Usually just a unit or two but in this last game it acted as if the wall just wasn't there. This really messes up the game play. :(
If they could just fix this bug it would be a perfect game. -

Yes, AoM was crash prone on my dual G5 2.0/9600, but this update has fixed the problem. A great game, and I hope the expansion pack gets ported to the Mac.
