      "Really bloody annoying application..."

      April 30, 2009   |   By miyamoto_9

      Version: Adobe Media Player 1.7

      Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Adobe Media Player is a really annoying application. Really annoying.

No application preferences screen is available to the user to control its activities. It is always a login item that launches at startup. Remove it from you Users Startup Items and the next time that the bloody application launches, it places itself right back in your Startup Items. The behavior sucks.

While the app seems to "function" fine, I am tired of it over-riding my Flash Player for itself.

Really annoying piece of software. I do not recommend it.

On a scale of 1 through ten, I give it a Zero. And I would make that All Caps if I weren't being polite.

      "Typical Adobe bulshit"

      January 07, 2009   |   By grh-svo

      Version: Adobe Media Player 1.6

      Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
1 Try to move the app into your preferred location â?? need user codes to authenticate!

2 Try to rename it to (for example) include the version number and/or remove the manufacturer's name from the app, both of which I prefer to do â?? permission denied!

Also, the user interface is ugly, boring and un-mac-like. Mid-grey type on dark grey background...are they mad?

Look in vain for a preferences menu item.

Scroll triangles don't work. Good thing I have a scroll wheel on my mouse. No elevator in the scroll bar either

"sign in?" Why should I? Oh yeah, it's those Adobe asholes again.

I have a simple remedy for such hubris and arrogance...

Poor resolution of the videos, ads everywhere, the video freeze when you try to go back a few seconds and then goes back to the ads...

The application sure doesn't wow me :-(
