This simple-to-use database application helps manage login information, but it doesn't offer the appropriate safeguards to keep your information private. AKeeper has a fairly basic interface, but we were impressed by the ease with which we could add, update, or delete entries, including user IDs, passwords, URLs, and additional notes. The program quickly launches associated Web addresses, although autofill or copy-to Clipboard functionalities would be helpful. AKeeper doesn't store other personal data, such as credit card or bank information, address, and phone numbers. Although you can enter these in the Notes or Other areas, the program just doesn't offer a dedicated spot for them as in similar applications. More importantly, you won't find any features that will secure your personal information like a password-protected login or an autolock option. This password manager's no-frills approach makes it easy enough for anyone to use, but with its limited features, security-minded users can easily find more powerful programs elsewhere.Publisher's description
