"More accurate but less languages available than..."
Pros: The translations are very accurate from the feedback I have received from native speakers of Spanish, German, French and a handful of other European-based languages. I even have translated English to Russian and seemed to be understood quite well while selling as "1nsomn1ak" on eBay. AIM is invaluable for most international business transactions and I have been quite pleased; since it has greatly increased my sales base by providing the medium for dependable, accurate negotiatiating capabilities!
Cons: Babelfish/Google has Asian translations not offered through AIM; but AIM Spanish is far more accurate- especially when using idioms and some slang. IT HELPS TO HAVE A BASIC understanding of the linguistics and grammatical idiosyncracies of the language you are translating to. For example, adjectives and adverbial phrases and references placed AFTER the nouns and the limited use of jargon such as "Give me a hand because you can dig what's up and I'm out in the cold here," will give you smoother sailing. If you simplify and then slightly modify your English to mimic the language you are TRANSLATING TO, your meaning will be clearer. If you don't intend to actually study another language, translate some passages from that language into English and NOTE THE TYPES of changes AIM designates that may appear to indicate basic grammatical variations (and observe the treatment of idiosyncratic items, such as idioms and other slang terms) and then, utilize them when entering your language into the AIM Translator. I offer this advice from the point of view of one who speaks AMERICAN ENGLISH. I have not found any program for TRANSLATING BRITISH ENGLISH, since it is a horse of a different color and in a different league(ballgame) altogether- if you catch my drift. If you happen upon such a program, perhaps 1nsomn1ak on eBay will be able to help market it.

"It's good and easy to use, but that's not enough"
Pros: The program is very easy to use, furthermore you can choose among a variety of languages to translate between, and sometimes it also translate idioms which is perfect!
Cons: It hasn't italian-spanish and I need translations between those languages very often, sometimes it says the service is not available and that's annoying. I can't forget telling that it's a small window and sometimes I can't see the whole text at the same time and I'd like to!..furthermore, it translates parts by parts, that's something non-useful.
