I have some outstanding vivid wallpaper pictures of snow covered mountain lakes and similar. I have been looking for a screensaver that puts out realistic looking snowfall snowflakes using your desktop wallpaper. I have tried out just about every snowfall listed on CNET and this one works the best doing that. I have slow swirls for Idyllic scenes, and outright blizzards for raw nature shot. I especially like the "lightsparkles" that flash on the screen as if sunlight reflecting off snow. It just looks great no matter which snow wallpaper I have loaded.
I am using the unregistered version, so I can't save my preferences. The screen saver uses a "cheat" function to cause your picture to eventually "white out" as if being buried in snow over a long period. You can shut this effect off in the registered version. It looks neat at times but I have other pictures I'd prefer the effect was just off.
