Whether it's their aerial grace or sheer power, fighter planes can strike a chord in even the most pacifist heart. This screensaver displays a series of photos of military planes, in the air and on the ground, all with fairly high image quality. The software provides a broad feature set, allowing users to set the interval between the images, change the background color, randomize the order of pictures, and change the placement of captions. A snowfall effect can be added, and a virtual sticky note left on the screen while the program is active. We would like to see a soundtrack included, and we weren't crazy about the 10-image, one-week trial limitations. Nor were we happy with extra screensaver controls that primarily serve to clutter the computer's RAM and system tray. However, we think aircraft enthusiasts will enjoy this screensaver, and perhaps even anyone who's ever run to the window to watch the Blue Angels zoom past.
