Back up your files to a CD using the standard ZIP format.

Zip Backup to CD distributes the files to be backed up in several stand alone ZIP files of a size fitting a standard CD (CD-R) or a size chosen by the user and writes it to CD/DVD. Using the standard ZIP file format allowing backup files to be viewed and restored with most ZIP file utilities. Build in scheduler supporting unattended auto-backup. Allows splitting of large files (up to 4GB) over more CDs, files. Span multiple removable medias such as CDs, DVDs, and ZIP drives. Send e-mail notification with detailed report. Hold file filtering to allow inclusion or exclusion of files or folders and files by file type. Restore your data without Zip Backup to CD. Automatically compare after backup and burning to CD/DVD. Catalog system to manage your backup files for easy retrieval of files.

Some alerts have been good.
Cons
I've been alerted on many programs where your "updates" have been earlier versions than the one on my computer. Zip Backup to CD, for instance. I have 3.20, and your alert was to "upgrade" to 3.18.

Pros
Compresses data, schedules backups, burns it to CD and emails you the results without intervention. Plus no proprietary backup file, you can open it with any zip reader. Checked the CD's the data is there.

Summary
I tried this product for four consecutive days, and it never wrote anything to the DVD+RWs I used. The logs,, however, reported that the backup was successful. The interface is easy to use, but the program itself just doesn't work.

I like that the program has its own burning software built in. No need to format to incd or other packet wrighting software.Also can be read by any zip utility. Good little stand alone.
