  It would have saved me the time and trouble of downloading it if the developer had thought to mention anywhere that it is for POP3 only.

  <br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Oct 9, 2012<p/>It was unfair of me to mark this product down just because it failed to say it was POP3 only. I have since tried it using POP, to find that it works well. On receiving new mail there is a brief balloon notification, the white envelope tray icon flashes on and off, and there is a discreet bleep if you selected that option. The icon remains flashing so you'll notice it if you've been away from your machine. A double click on it opens your webmail screen. Once you've read the mail the icon stops flashing. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the mail count doesn't reset itself to zero, but you only see this if you hover your mouse over the icon. All in all it's a nice simple little notifier and I'm sorry that there is no way I can delete or edit my earlier review. I would change it to 4 stars if I could.

  Could not get it to download any mail. Probably me and sorry to write this as a review but there are too many packages out there to spend much time on this stuff.
