• Worthless.

  As the one reviewer who isn't the programmers relative or drinking buddy wrote: "It works, but it is not necessarily useful."

  Cons

  There are hundreds of utilities that do what this DOES do for free, and there seems to be no advantage in sticking it on an excel page.

  Summary

  The first thing it did was try to get me to pay a bill. The first thing I did was uninstall it.

• Very Fast, good basic Folder \ file data.

  Very Fast basic list of file stuff, need to export to new file to really play with, modify & such.

  Cons

  Missing some data elements other VB programs have such as owner, last modified, created & link to folder & link to file & file type column (for later filtering)

  Summary

  Pulled over 8K files data in about 1 minute for a network share drive. If they add a few more fields or functions, would be even nicer. Another option could be to have 65K row limit extended for Excel 2007 forward & additional fields also added.

  Pros

  1. Very intuitive and easy to use. Extract, double click, say YES to run the macro. 2. Created a directory listing of over 1000 files in about 10 seconds. 3. Export, Open in Excel to manipulate it any way you want. 5. Very reasonably priced.

  Cons

  None what so ever.

  Summary

  With so many people creating lackluster software that usually doesn't live up to expectations, it refreshing to find something that does exactly what you want, is very easy to use, and doesn't cause any additional problems like locking up my PC. I will be buying this package. Good Job FinRepInc!!

  Pros

  Pros:<p>It does what it says and relatively quickly. I was able to list over 7500 .mp3 files on a mapped drive in less than 7 minutes.

  Cons

  Cons:<p>Once you have your list, there is not much you can do with it other than sort and print. All I wanted to do was reduce the default column width. It cannot be done. So I am stuck with a list where one column is over one page wide. Of what use is that?

  Pros

  I used to painstakingly copy the filenames of invididual files I have collected before, for documentation. But thankfully, I found this and it saved a lot of effort. Plus, its free!

  Cons

  You need microsoft excel for this to work. How about openOffice?

  Works, Free, No Viruses (at least not yet!) <p>It is incredibly easy to use- has a help file on the second tab. I always find the editor reviews helpful but in this case I disagree. I have no idea why they were trying to use this to search for files- that is not what it is for! I am using it to generate paths to files so I can easily paste hyperlinks! There are already tons of ways to search for files on your PC, if that is what you want then this is not the best program! <p>Free, Small & fast (even on a directory with 12,000 files!

  This is an Excel spreadsheet with macros. It does its job perfectly, providing file lists with all the flexibility of organization Excel provides. Good job, and thanks.
