xGestures is a mouse gestures program for Mac OS X that adds gestures to nearly every aspect of the OS. Add normal mouse gestures or rocker gestures to Finder, Safari, your favorite program, or for the entire system at one time. Gesture actions include: minimizing and closing windows, launching and switching applications, picking menu items and performing keystrokes, triggering Expose, and more!

...basis, period.<br />This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />There is no way in hell I would upgrade to Leopard without this. <b>It's THAT VITAL.</b> Once you set this up properly with gestures that make sense this become the speediest, MOST productive way to take command of your Mac and dramatically reduce the risks for repetitive CT injuries to boot. It's hilarious that more so-called pro's don't know or utilize this. You can run circles around them; it destroys the speed of using keyboard shortcuts from the keyboard in many, many cases. Want to rotate an image clockwise in Photoshop? Just quickly gesture "right"... then "poof"... done. Counterclockwise? gesture "left" .... and "poof"... Flatten the layers? gesture "up" then "right"... done. Next? I predicted a long time ago after using xGestures that Apple would see the light. I was right. But, iPhone gestures and MacBook Air gestures ARE just the very beginning. Like I've said before, your children and your children's children will be using gestures... why aren't you? They are available right now with xGestures. Why am I evangelizing this so much? Because, seriously, if more people don't use this and keep this app going with shareware fees, I'll be stuck at whatever was the last Mac OS was to be compatible with it. I'll never have a computer without this functionality. Dev, <b>thank you</b> so much for your continued development of this absolutely indispensable app!!!!! Can't believe this is only 5 bucks, it's the life-blood of my computer experience. I hope Apple purchases this from you for big money and fully implements this into OS X. You deserve it.

The difference from then to now is substantial, and the Developer warrants the praise they receive as xGestures is truly a wonderful app. Easy to use and configure; a true time saver. I have it configured for my mail and it works so seamlessly that I would miss it if it were gone. The graphics for the on onscreen cursor are well thought-out and informative (you'll know what I mean if you try this app).<br><br> <b>Marked improvement with this version.</b>

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br /><br>On my OS 10.3.9 G4 I've found xGestures to be sluggish at times or even miss gestures entirely. On the other hand, while another app "Cocoa Gestures" only works in cocoa apps (like Safari, etc.), it does work very quickly (and every time) and it's free.<br><br>xGestures being hit or miss with gesture response makes it overall unusable for me. Also, xGestures should really let you copy gesture settings between other app settings instead of having to rebuild them every time if you don't want to use the global settings for certain apps. Maybe even being able to save "sets" would be nice so you can change sets around for the same app depending on what type of work you are doing with it.<br><br>All that said, it's great that xGestures works in every aspect of the system and apps (love being able to use any menu item, etc.)... but until the response troubles are taken care of this is a pass for me & I'm going to regrettably stick with Cocoa Gestures which is much more limited, but it's free, works quickly and works with every gesture I make every time.

This is much better than CocoaGestures, because it works in every Application of your system. The price is hot too. I will register it as soon the trial period is over. Thanks for finally developing a complete mouse gestures app.
