Lewis University's WLRA Radio was the first college radio station in the country to become entirely digital and created the slogan "digital radio - press Start". The state of the art broadcasting studios and transmitters are located in The Andrew Center for Electronic Media on the Lewis University Romeoville campus. In addition to WLRA being campus media, broadcasting to the region, and streaming worldwide, it is a lab for Radio/TV & Broadcast Journalism Communications students. The station is FCC licensed to Romeoville, Illinois, USA, and serves the Chicago/greater Joliet region.
