• Don't Waste Your Time

  Where do I start...

  Summary

  Even if it is free, it isn't worth that much. Supposedly this is suppose to shows a web site from the perspective of a mobile device. It fails miserably on that. Comparing results from the Mobile Phone Emulator by COWEMO and the WinWAP, this download can't even compete. The free web site emulator shows a page from several mobile devices while WinWAP shows only one. The one view it shows is not consistent to any of the various viewpoints. Facebook as an example works well from the view of COWEMO, but terrible in the WinWAP. Comparing WinWAP to web site MobiReady, again WinWAP cannot compete. MobiReady will at least give output as to where your site failed in compatibility tests to help correct your markup without the emulator. It will crash, again and again and again. I'm not impressed, especially when there are other free sources online with better and more helpful results.

  Pros

  Works great. I had a wap website I had to go to, and needed a quick free software to help me do it from my laptop. This worked great!

  Cons

  You have to literally use the phone interface for everything, you can't click on the links you see. I had to keep telling myself it's a PHONE not my laptop anymore. So I had to act like using a phone while on my laptop. I'm VERY clumsy with this thing.

  Froze up immediately on first start of program - on second start attempted to go to settings menu, and froze again - allowed through on software firewall - this program officially doesn't work!

  Pros

  This looks like a phone on my screen, and it gives me a way to quickly test WAP sites from my PC before I leave home and use them on my phone. Gives understanding how the site will look/work on my smartphone.

  Cons

  A bit harder to use and less features then "regular" browsers, like the full WinWAP for Windows browser that has a fee to it, but again: It's free :)

  I Use Windows ME <p>And When I Try To Launch It <p>Gives The Error <p>"This Application Can Not Be Loaded On Windows 95 Or Windows 3.1.It Takes Advantage Of Unicode Features Only Available On Windows NT." <p>And Then After That It Says "The MFC42U.DLL File Cannot Start. Check The File To Determine The Problem" <p>It Is Complete Junk Unless You Are Using Either An OS Based On Windows NT Or If You Are Running Windows NT <p>So Don't Download It Unless You Have An OS Based On Windows NT Or Windows NT
