This picture download manager quickly and successfully performs its job, proving a narrow feature set is not always bad. It offers an easy-to-use, customizable interface. Retrieved images immediately appear in the thumbnail pane, where you can move and delete them or set up a slide show. Dial-uppers will appreciate the up-to-10 download channels, bandwidth limitations, and a task manager for killing hung-up or unneeded downloads. Size filtering effectively helps you skip banners and ornamental graphics. The program automatically logs on password-protected galleries. Unfortunately, you cannot enter new file types into the type filters. WebPix will help those who want to download thousands of images without digging into settings.

The buttons and menus are comfortably located. <p>Dima_R which gives all download managers 1 is absolutelly uncompetent and seems never tries them at all.

The GUI "Seems" deceptively simple (which certainly isn't a "bad thing") but believe me, all the features you'll need are there including one you won't often find in other applications... the ability to filter by pixel dimension (screen resolution). If you're searching for desktop backgrounds this alone makes WebPix the best choice. Additionally, the program is rock-solid stable and did a better job finding images than any of the others I tried. The unrestricted 30 day trial was more time than I needed to make the decision to register. Try it, you'll like it ;-)

The application supports image type and size filtering, simultaneous scans and downloads, and user-defined bandwidth limits. It also features a variety of viewing and browsing options, including preview and full-view windows, slide shows, and superfast thumbnail browsing.
