Wave Repair specifically designed for the restoration of WAV files that were recorded from vinyl records, it can also be used to process recordings made from tapes, but its restoration features are intended mainly for records. Wave Repair eases many of the tasks that are required during restoration of music recorded from vinyl records, and which are often difficult using general purpose tools.

DIfficult to work with

Pros
It does the job of de-clicking, decrackling records very well. Almost all minor clicks are removed, or rendered almost inaudible, without affecting the overall audio quality. Runs on Linux (using WINE)
Cons
It is not easy to find the right settings. Only 44.1 kHz, 16-bit files can be processed Manual declicking is almost impossible: - positioning is very difficult - the visual presentation of the audio data is not very good
Summary
I would recommend this program only for automatic de-clicking of the complete audio file. Everything else, including manual repair, can better be done in Audacity. Import and export work well, so that Wave Repair can complement Audacity very well.

Pros
imports easily, has multiple output formats, not hard to navigate
Cons
Track splitting is difficult, noise removal functions are tedious if they work, when working on a sound file, the position shifts off screen instead of staying centered.
Summary
I found Audicity, also freeware to be a better solution for me.
