Lost amongst the ruins of a leveled city lies an Emperor Class Titan, a war vessel of untold power forged in the planet-wide furnaces of Mars, and revered by billions as the epitome of Imperial dominance. The one who controls it will command the power to destroy, or defend, a world. The Imperials will summon it to overcome great evil, Chaos will corrupt it for their own designs, Orks will destroy it in their bloodlust and Eldar will disregard it in their arrogance. This expansion pack to Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War builds upon the exciting, visceral, front-line battlefield.

This demo for the Warhammer RTS expansion includes a campaign mission on Lorn V, the skirmish map "Absolute Zero", and the Army Painter feature.

n this demo you'll get to play one Imperial Guard campaign against Chaos and you'll also get to try playing the Eldars(just a tiny try out in the campaign progression) and one 2 players skirmish map.

Lots of unlocked technological research and units.

The original Dawn of War demo is better.

Great graphics and cool animations. Limited to "select all" and "go shoot there."
Cons
I couldn't really tell if it was the kind of game I'd like. Sending waves of troops slugging down various barriers, like gates, with laser rifles is very limited for a strategy game. I sure hope there a better means of getting past such obstacles in the real game. RTS fans like to use their brains a bit when gaming. This demo didn't show me that it would bring that experience.

the guard weren't as good as the marines. i like the environment, but i can't say this demo is good. if there was a way this demo would allow the races from the first game to be played on the maps of this game, it would have been better. although, after looking at a friends manual of the game and seeing the preist (who wields an awesome chainsaw) i still want to get the full version.

Its all the same from the original, pre-expansion game. <p>Same awesome graphics from WH40k:DOW. <p>Same awesome music, with a lot more tracks for all the scenarios. <p>Same awesome gameplay. <p>Same awesome everything.

The BUT is that...after playing the DOW single player and finishing that and then playing a single mission in the DOW:WA single player, I'm just like...The Blood Ravens were so powerful, and now I have to deal with weaker races which require better tactics than just brute force which you could use with the Blood Ravens. <p>I am, always have been, and always will be an RTS player who sits back...builds up a huge force, then attacks all at once...screw tactics. And that is why I never could play Starcraft battle.net skirmishes; I always played either team based versus the computer, or Use Map Settings games. And with DOW:WA I just dont feel like spending the time necessary to beat the game with the necessity of extra tactics. At least with C&C:Generals I could sit back and build up and then go all burte force at once with all three races. <p> <p>Obviously, though, this game will satisfy the diehards since A) its an expansion to DOW, B) it gives players a single player with access to all the races, and C) it introduces a new race. So is it worth the price and/or the download? Sure, if you really like the game.

Real time strategy, Superb Graphics, the intro video should be a feature film, and The game play is pretty unstoppable.
Cons
leave you wanting the full game. no chance to play on the chaos side.
