This tool suffices for making only the simplest slide shows from your images or photos and has more limitations than benefits. Browse your PC for photos using Wallpaper Swap's familiar Windows XP-style interface. Once you've collected images, you can set the interval, ranging from 10-second to 10-minute intervals, between switches. Alas, you are limited to only six images and the program can only work with BMP files, which greatly diminishes its usability. Unlike similar wallpaper-changing utilities, you won't be able to add transition effects or slide styles. Wallpaper Swap doesn't work in the background, so the program will take up space on your taskbar while it runs the slide show. Most frustrating of all is the program's inability to remember settings, which makes it necessary to reset the app each time it's opened. Even though it's offered as freeware, there's little to recommend this overly simplistic program for any user.

Not only does the program not work, it wont delete either. Every day for over a month, I have tried to find out how to delete the stupid thing, and yet regardless of what files I delete, it is still there to haunt me in the morning. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT.

Ok, this didn't work. After I went about finding 6 pictures I wanted for my backgrounds, I had to convert them all to .bmp, which was a little bit of a hassle. Then I put all six into the "My Pictures" section of the program, set the interval to 10 seconds, hit the "Start" button, closed the program (foolishly assuming it would save my settings and work in the background) and waited. And waited. Nothing happened. I opened the program again, and all of my settings, pictures, etc. had been reset. I went about re-importing the pictures, changed the timer interval to 10 seconds, left the program open, and waited. And waited. Again, nothing happened. To summarize: I couldn't get it to work.
