The Walking Dead: Season Two puts you in the shoes of beloved adolescent character Clementine as she struggles to survive a zombie-infested world without her guardian. Featuring much of the same mechanics as the first game, Season Two tracks Clementine's journey with a new group through a dangerous, unforgiving world.

Pros

Turn back time: The Walking Dead: Season Two's handy rewind feature allows you to undo accidental choices or to explore the consequences of going down a different road than the one you initially chose.

Fewer scavenger hunts: Season Two features fewer narrative-disrupting puzzles and artificially inflated playtime than its predecessor.

Deeper development: The best part of Season Two is watching the interactions between the adults and a more seasoned Clementine, as well as their surprise at her growing maturity in making life-and-death decisions.

Cons

Awkward pacing: The first three episodes of Season Two are a roller coaster ride, as one hard decision follows another with each twist and turn. The action, however, peters out during the fourth episode. Thankfully the pace picks up again just in time for the finale.

Predictable twists: Season Two characters seem determined to put themselves in harm's way just to increase the tension.

Bottom Line

Less of a game and more of an interactive story, The Walking Dead: Season Two features much of the narrative that series fans are used to. The story is exciting enough to keep you pinned to the edge of your seat. If you're a fan of "The Walking Dead" series or enjoyed the first installment of the game, then Season Two is a must play.

Developer's Description

Survive the horrors of a zombie apocalypse and bear the consequences of your actions.
The Walking Dead is an episodic video game series based on Robert Kirkman's award-winning comic books. Season One of The Walking Dead won over 90 Game of the Year Awards.

Season Two continues the story that began in Season One. You are Clementine, a young survivor in a world gone to hell. The dead have risen to feast on the living, and the living cannot be trusted.

The story you experience in The Walking Dead Season Two is driven by the choices that you make. Because of that, your story could be very different from someone else's. If you played Season One and the DLC episode '400 Days', the choices you made there will affect Season Two.

While you don't have to play Season One or 400 Days to enjoy Season Two, we recommend that you do in order to get the most from the story.
