Walkable: Discover Your City for Android

Walkable: Discover Your City is an innovative travel app designed for urban explorers and casual walkers. It transforms city walks into an interactive experience by coloring a grayscale map as users explore various buildings and streets. The app tracks district completion and highlights hidden landmarks called 'Gems' that can be unlocked while walking. With a focus on discovery rather than metrics, Walkable encourages users to engage with their environment during commutes, sightseeing, or leisurely strolls, making it an appealing choice for those who enjoy exploring new areas without the pressure of tracking physical performance.

This app utilizes background GPS recording to ensure that routes are accurately tracked even when the app is not actively in use. Users can maintain their progress while the phone is locked, allowing for a seamless exploration experience. Walkable is compatible with Android devices running version 7.0 or later and emphasizes user privacy by not requiring account creation for basic features. While it is designed for urban explorers seeking a visual record of their travels, the app's effectiveness can vary depending on GPS access and the level of detail available in different cities.
