I would suggest looking into alternatives like Terragen before committing to Vue.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I recently upgraded from 6 to 8 thinking there may have been some speed improvements but sadly this is not the case. Be prepared to spend a lot of time looking at the spinning beach ball. Every operation no matter how simple e.g. zooming in on one of the screens or selecting an element in the layers pane is sooooo sloooooow. DragonWizard is right, they do make it incredibly difficult to find and get any support. However I will say that once you do manage to get some they are quite helpful. Another issue is the modules (or plug-ins) which are available from Cornucopia an off shoot site that sells content etc. These do not come with any kind of help files or manuals they assume that you already know how to use these modules even though you have just bought them.... don't understand the logic. Overall, while it is a good program be prepared, you have to be very, very patient when using it. Unless your system is well above, and I mean well above the minimum requirements and you want to enjoy using your software I'd suggest maybe trying something else.
