  Pros

  Works well with Computer email client and Handheld. Unbelievably great support! Server based system keeps spam off your system. Combination of confirming Sender and Bayesian personal smart filter is effective

  Cons

  Setup can be a little tricky, depending on your ISP protocol, but excellent support is available. Many false positives in the first few days, but almost no spam gets through. Takes time to scan filtered mail for false positives while system learns.

  Summary

  I was a reasonably satisfied user of Onlymyemail which is also a server based spam filtering system. I have been with Vanquish VQme for about a week now and I find it to be superior in several respects. First there is no restriction on number of emails it will filter. Onlymyemail restricts you to 400 per day or forces you onto their corporate program. No such restriction with VQme. This was the main reason I went looking for a new spam filtering system. Secondly, VQme support is amazing. I was able to get support to one of the founding partners by calling the phone number. Unbelievable in this day and age. He was genuinely interested in my problem and stuck with me all the way until it got resolved. I can also send my filtered mail directly to my blackberry as well as my computer, which isn't possible on a system that is embedded in your system's email client on your computer. Webmail access is available off their server as well. The system takes a while to get to understand and know, however, I have come to appreciate its design. After 1 week, I am down to one or two fale positives per day and no spam whatsoever. I suspect I will have very rare false positives in another week or so. It takes a little patience in the beginning to set up. But it is well worth the investment to end up with such a robust spam filtering tool.

  OH MY GOD, A EMAIL PROGRAM THAT ACTUALLY LEARNS ON ITS OWN. WHAT A GRAND IDEA. I am not the smartest person on the planet but to have an anti-spam /anti-everything program that learns once you tell it to, what next?? phillip? talking to end users

  only got confused on certain settings with VQME, but the CEO-Phillip, personally called me from his home to help me with the settings and got me all straightened out. i have never had such awesome service since 1997 when i leased a car in Cali.

  Summary

  This is the first anti-spam software I have ever tried that actually did what the company said it would do. I even get to pick who I feel is sending the junk mail and how is it sent. And the fact that it learns as time goes on about what you may feel is important to pass on and what to hold back is teh most impressive to me. And when the CEO personally called me late at night on his personal time to help me with some issues cause i was not understanding why the program was not working the way it should, i just wanted to cry, really, cry, so many companies just lock themselves away behind a door and never give out that sort of personal attention to a customer, even one that has yet to even buy the product. Which by the way i will as soon as it is financially possible for me to do so. I will scream out at the top of my lungs that VQME IS THE ABSOLUTE END ALL OF SPAMMING PROTECTION YOU WILL EVER NEED BAR NONE. you only have to tell it what you want to come through, and it will even learn from new emails you send back and forth from one person to another, it will learn that is a subject your interested in and will not stop the emails if you tell not to. it will read the subjects of each email and realize that this is not spam, but real mail and send it on through. amazing, isn't it. you can even put into a section of the protocals the subject you want it to look out for in the future, so you do not have to keep going back to check off the emails you want to have it release onto your regular email program. it lets you stay in control of your emails, not wonder where all your email went to. Like so many other programs that just stop everything cause it does not know the difference between one email and another. you can simply put into the program words and whole subject lines of what your interest are and it will learn. my god, smart software. why hasn;t anyone else thought of that before. I have tried so many, anti this, anti that, anti malware, spyware, virus ware and so on and still got ugly unwanted emails or nothing. my emails would vanish into cyber space. but this (shaking my head in amazment) is just too much. i cannot say enough about the software, the companies' CEO Phillip, or the support they offer. I wish i could sell this myself and make some money at it cause i know i could selll this in a heart beat. this is something i could believe in for real. not just a job but something that can really help people in the world of email and the internet. christine turner of las vegas, nv

  Pros

  I've used all kinds of anti-spam services, products, filters, etc. The best by far is VQME. Why? First, second and third: it works and works well. My in-box gets little "crap" and I am more efficient. Reviewing held mail is easy.

  Cons

  There is no way to eliminate "spoof" mail -- spam that seems to originate from me or my server. that has to be held at the VQME server and deleted by hand.

  Summary

  VQME has made my life more efficient. 99.98% of the time everything works like a charm. When there is a problem (once or twice a year) their support is great and personal.

  I had no chance to use it.

  Cons

  I'm not sure how this software works, first I was asked to create an account from its publisher, then my computer warned me that it was trying to create IE helpers, and then I was requested to give my e-mail password to access my account. At this point I decided to abort installation. No software under any circumstances may ask you personal data, and passwords are very sensitive information. Definitely a no go.

  Pros

  an excellent software. stops all suspicious mails dead in their tracks. it holds onto such mail at their own servers for you to review before you decide whether it is spam or legit. since we installed we have had no junk reach our inbox whatsoever. it scans for viruses and phishing attempts without interfering with our other installed antivirus, thus providing us with effectively 2 different virus scans of all our mail. customer service is second to none and we have always had a response from vqme to our mails within 1 hour. nothing was too much trouble for the staff. i rate this product 5 star

  configuring can be a bit hairy if your computer knowledge is low, but customer services once again are there to help.

  We tried several different email security solutions before switching to the small business version of vqME. We tried it all: download aps, hardware appliances and hosted services. <p> <p>vqME and vqNow are tough to beat for some compelling reasons: <p> <p>1. A really smart set of release mechanisms, like SurfMatch, Bayes, Smart Subject, and a truly world-class challenge response. <p> <p>2. Zero learning curve. There is no change to your routine. You keep using your existing mail server (or hosted service) and your existing email aps. You can even use your existing web mail interface. <p> <p>3. Confidence. What impresses us most is that we no longer need to comb through our quarantine folder. They have a release technology that is uncanny in its ability to let you forget about the spam. Desirable messages don't get trapped, or they get released so quickly, you don't even know that they were inspected. As the user confidence increases, we were quickly weaned of our compulsion to check what was being blocked. <p> <p>4. Support. Response to support inquiries are lightning fast. The founders answer the phones. A new admin control panel was recently introduced that makes trivial work of adds/changes and analysis. <p> <p>5. Comprehensive. It removes spam, viruses and phishing scams before they get to your mail server. <p> <p>6. The definition of spam is very personal (and accurate, I might add). No community censorship at all. <p> <p>Some things in life present tought choices. After just a few days, this one becomes a no brainer.

  Cons

  In the individual user configuration, you can protect any address, even if it is from a big ISP. But in the small business version, you must own a domain and then process all mailboxes at that domain. That's not difficult for most companies. But for very small offices that do not have their own web site or email service, it may be better to stick with the individual user product. The company has an interesting comparison of the two, including their limitations in the user forum.
