VPet-Simulator gives you a virtual companion—a silver-haired anime girl—right on your desktop. You can drag her around and trigger animations. It's basically promotional material for a game, but still kinda fun.

  • Pros

    • It's free and open source, so that's cool | Tons of cute animations to discover | Steam Workshop support for extra customization | A good way to make your desktop less lonely

  • Cons

    • Customizing code? Forget about it if you aren't a coder | Might get flagged as a third-party app by some games | It's basically an ad for another game
