O alternativ n acest sens n practica internaional este administrarea medicamentelor antituberculoase observat prin metoda video ( Video observed treatment -VOT).Instrumentul VOT este aplicabil att pentru nregistrare video a administrrii medicamentelor prin intermediul calculatoarelor, ct i cu ajutorul telefoanelor inteligente.
