Volumes by Simpsons Rule is the 10th in a series of Civil Engineering and Surveying apps from MacReid Software. Volumes by Simpsons rule is a really useful app which uses Simpson's Rule to calculate a volume of earth from an odd number of cross sectional areas and the distance between the areas, which must be the same value. The area of a cross section can be calculated using another app in our series, Areas by Coordinates, and then numerous cross sections can be calculated and input into this Volumes program to come to the final value.
