Browse the Internet with a hyper-customizable Web browser that puts you in control.
Vivaldi is a hyper-customizable browser that puts you in control. Steered by the co-founder of Opera software Jon von Tetzchner, Vivaldi is fast, fun, flexible and lets you browse the way you want with tons of features that adapt to you. We keep our users first, and most importantly, we do not track you. Now with ad-block, tracker blocker, clock and Android version.
It's just Chrome with a new skin! Check it out. Hit F2 and go to Settings>Plugins> and click on Download Critical Security Update beside Adobe Flash Player. It takes you to a chrome page. Better yet, just type the chrome commands in the address bad (ie; chrome://plugins, chrome://components) and it takes you to them.
Summary
They may have tweaked Chrome a bit, given it a new skin, but it is just Chrome!
Not ready for prime time
Dauplat
Pros
It does seem to use less memory than Chrome, but after a while, it's not a big difference. My Chrome gets up to a little more than 1 GB of memory used after keeping it open for several days. Vivaldi came in at about 900 MB.
Speed: It's about the same as Chrome.
Cons
Still some bugs. Sometimes when entering terms into search box and hitting enter, it just refreshes the page you're on -- it doesn't execute the search with the default search engine. There are a few other annoyances that need to be fixed.
Missing feature to open new tabs in background. When reading news stories, I like to click "Open in Tab" on several stories, and let them load while I continue to read my primary window. Vivaldi always switches you to the new tab. Chrome and Firefox allow you to change this behavior.
Summary
I was hoping that Vivaldi would be the answer to ever-increasing memory usage in Chrome. Vivaldi doesn't help much, plus there are a few bugs that just make it feel unfinished. I think they have a good start, and I'll definitely try it again in the future. For now, I'll stick with Chrome.
Impressive

Pros
Very streamlined, interesting and attractive interface. Quick, functional and pleasant to use. This software is developing in the right direction. As long as they can address my few complaints in a reasonably timely fashion this will definitely be my default browser. It may be anyway, despite the kinks.
Cons
The only obvious issues I have with this is the absence of extension buttons. So, any extensions that need the buttons to function simply cannot work in this browser. The other is minor, but annoying. The only bookmark shortcut seems to be to bookmark all open tabs. This seems like the least intuitive default for them to take. Hopefully they will fix this. Aside from these points it is an excellent find.
Summary
If you are looking for customizability, this is not the browser for you. If you are looking for something quick, sleek and utilitarian this is it. It almost makes me think this might be what internet explorer would be like if I liked it.
Great Potential

Pros
Feels modern, The interface is simple and clean, The browser is decently fast and the developers are listening to the community very closely. This is definitely a browser that I want to see succeed, because it has tons of potential. Surfing in this web browser just makes it feel refreshing and a lot more enjoyable than all the other browsers...This is the browser to keep an eye on, trust me.
Cons
It's a technical preview and does need some work, as well as some necessary features that need to be implemented. I am sure this browser will become feature rich in the near feature, so I'll give it a break for now.
Summary
Overall, a fantastic and enjoyable browser to use. Quite honestly, it's a nice change from what we have now and I like that a lot.

Updated on Mar 3, 2015
*Correction under Cons* - I would like to correct myself in my last sentence, I meant for it to say "In the near future" not In the near feature.
