Editors' Review
Before you roll your eyes at yet another addition to the overly saturated Web browser market, we recommend that you take the time to try out Visual Explorer. We liked it so much that we made it our default browser.
The interface is colorful without being too cartoonish, and for all of the options it comes with, it's surprisingly uncluttered. You'll recognize all of the navigational buttons and the menu toolbar if you've used any type of browser before. It features almost of all of the options that come with IE, but there were several features that stood out for us. The Tab Browser let us view all of our Web pages in one single page so that we could easily toggle back and forth between them. When activated, the Explorer Bar sat unobtrusively on the left side of our window. From there, we were able to access our Favorites, RSS feeds, source code of a given page, folders, and even a notepad. Parents will like the Content Filter that lets you add the sites you want to block. We had no problems browsing the Web, and pop-ups were kept at bay with the browser's pop-up blocker.
Visual Explorer offers an extensive, built-in Help menu. We loved all of the program's features, as well as the nice open window. Basically our only complaint is that it left a folder in our Program Files that had to be manually removed. However, if you're looking for a new browser, we have a feeling you'll look no further after giving this free one a try.
