The Microsoft Visio IFilter is a component used by the Microsoft Windows Indexing Service to build index catalogs that enable users to search for specified text in Microsoft Visio files(.VSD, .VSS, .VST, .VDX, .VSX, .VTX formats). These index catalogs are then used by the search features in Windows File Explorer, SharePoint Portal Server, and SharePoint Team Services. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
