Morse Code has long since passed its heyday, but its fascination lives on. This program allows users to type text into the computer using the telegraph's old code, by entering long dashes and short dots, which are then transformed into letters. The program presupposes a knowledge of Morse Code, since no dictionary is included. New users likely will have some trouble finding the exact amount of time to pause between clicks in order to separate letters, although this delay sensitivity can be reconfigured. The results can be saved to a text file. We would have liked to see an option to convert text to Morse Code and back, rather than just the one-way feature. However, the program may still be helpful for anyone learning Morse Code who wants some practical experience.

Pros
When you click on the "Morse" button it shows you in dits and dahs what you have submitted in one box, and in the other box it shows the translated version (in English) what you have said ("morsed"). I believe you can shorten/lengthen the setting for it to allow a lengthier/shorter space as needed, though I did not use this for that long and cannot prove if it actually did this.
Cons
Seeing as this software is called "Virtual Morse Key" I expected it to make a morse beep tone when I pressed a button which did not happen. I didn't even check if this software had settings I wanted it off my computer so fast because of all the random things being installed. That is why I said it is a virus, not the hacking kind but the installing junk onto computers kind of virus.

What value this is to anyone, I have no idea? If it took English as an input and produced morse code, that would be useful.
