Uncle Sam's Debt Clock is a simple app showing real-time estimates of the U.S. national debt and debt per U.S. resident. It was inspired by the National Debt Clock near Times Square.We strive to make it the most accurate and up-to-date debt clock on iOS by having it download and cache historical data on each launch. If a network connection is available, it automatically updates its historical data directly from the U.S. Treasury and the U.S. Census Bureau. If no network connection is available, it works in offline mode using the most recently cached data (or, worst-case, the pre-installed data).A real-time estimate of the national debt and debt-per-resident is extrapolated based on the last 60 days of historical data, so it is always current without being too sensitive to short term fluctuations.Rotate the display to landscape orientation to enlarge the numbers.
