  Pros

  It's easy to use and did what I wanted in a couple of clicks. First I clicked on search for duplicates, it selected best quality tracks to keep and the rest were marked to be removed. The second click was on remove all duplicates, and that was it! I also had a load of orphaned songs, so it was great to get rid of them too. Downloading of missing album art came in handy as well, so all in all I found Tune Sweeper worth my while.

  Pros

  Removed a few duplicate songs.... but left hundreds more.... SO NO PROS!

  Repeatedly crashed Could not locate all the duplicates Failed to deliver in any way No customer service. No response from REPEATED emails asking for assistance.

  Pros

  Straight forward interface. Does it's job well. Saved me a huge amount of time, and had exactly the options I was looking: - compare by name + time, and keep the highest quality - fill in missing artwork

  Cons

  Little pricey. Hit a bit of instability, but support team were responsive.

  Summary

  Really neat and effective tool. Doesn't have to save much of your time to justify the price tag.

  Pros

  I have accumulated a vast collection of songs and remixes from different sources across the past years, and it's always a very time consuming labour to delete duplicate songs especially when it comes to remixes. Tune Sweeper does the job nicely, and also tries to intelligently clean up broken tracks. I also had whole forgotten folders of mp3s on my harddrive which were not in iTunes, which Tune Sweeper found, sorted and added. I also like the option of adding missing album art and information, which is very handy especially for old tracks

  Pros

  Clear view of duplicates and proposed removal of files. Good manual control.

  Cons

  The downloaded demo version is dysfunctional. Software will find and list the dupes but you are forced to buy the product to complete the clean up operation. This should be stated up-front by CNET. Because of this misleading tactic - I refuse to buy it now ! It is not the ONLY Itunes Cleanup product out there !

  Pros

  Interface is clean and easy to follow. Features are useable. Displays duplicate info that makes it easy to evaluate.

  Cons

  Took 7 hours to scan 20,000 song collection and update missing info. About 10 minutes into updating it errors out with no message sent to vendor and solution suggested. After three attempts, I give up! Back to cleaning manually! Out $25.00

  Summary

  This software at first glance does not indicate that you have to purchase before it will allow you to clean anything. The search and display functions work and even allow you to select the duplicates to delete, but then when you press remove duplicates a popup says you have to pay!

  Summary

  My iTunes library was a complete mess with tons of duplicates and broken tracks. I literally spent hours trying so sort my library out, without much success. Finally, I came across Tune Sweeper which removed hundreds of duplicates and broken tracks in less than half an hour. It also downloaded iTunes album art to tracks which didn't have any and fixed a load of tracks with missing track info. Very happy to have found this amazing app.

  Pros

  Apart from the great results and its ease of use, it has a nice interface. Something you don't see every day with certain products. But the guys who made Tune Sweeper really know what they are doing. I think they thought of me when they were creating it, and it delivers above and beyond what is promised. This program is completely safe, it will clean up your iTunes library by removing duplicates, however it lets you back up the tracks you're deleting from iTunes in case you change your mind later.

  When I first used Tune Sweeper I realized how many songs were in my playlist but were not even on my computer anymore. They showed up on my playlist but where not even on my hard drive. I would have never noticed this. If not for Tune Sweeper of course, which deleted these broken tracks quickly. It will also quickly find tracks on your hard disk that are not currently in your iTunes library. I had music on my computer which I was not able to find because I had forgotten where I had placed it, I didn't remember the folder I had put it, which means music was not yet in my playlist. But when I used Tune Sweeper this music was added with great ease. It was weird. I absolutely love it. I highly recommend anyone to use the software. You can tell they put a-lot of work into it. It works great and gives amazing results. If you can't tell by now, I highly recommend using Tune Sweeper.

  Pros

  I can use it on my Mac as well as on my Dell laptop. I always seemed to have an issue with music on my iTunes because I always ended up adding the same songs mistakenly from different folders. This means that my playlists always contained duplicate files, lots of them too. I searched around diligently for a good program and like a stroke of magic I finally found Tune Sweeper which was the most effective program available on the market to help resolve my situation. I noticed the program looked for and grouped these duplicate files to make it completely simple for me to deal with them. It gave me the option to select which tracks to keep automatically, such as the ones with the Highest Quality. I think it also gave me the choice to decide to keep the ones with the Longest duration or Latest added just to name a few of the options. The program then removed over 300 duplicate items from a long playlist, and now I have more space to add more music on my iPod. All in all, a great app.

  This is an amazing Application, I'm completely blown away by its effectiveness as well as by how simple it is to use. I absolutely love its features and it has a great cool interface.

  Itunes already identifies copies. Tunesweeper misleads you into wasting your time to download the software, only to discover that you have to pay to remove copies. This is a sort of bait and switch internet tactic that has been going on far too long.

  Summary

  Do NOT waste your time with tunesweeper unless you are prepared to pay for the full version. Whether the paid version works, or not, matters little because of the misleading marketing. NO NO NO, tunesweeper.
