Great Product
jhodgie- Pros
- Very customizable Beautifully rendered graphics Free
- Cons
- I agree that it would be nice to customize further, adjust bulb and tree sizes, but for a free product, who can complain?
- Summary
- Before upgrading to Intel-Mac, I had several Christmas apps that now don't work. This product has combined the features of two of the apps I was using before. Thanks for the Christmas cheer!

Updated on Dec 4, 2011
I just realized, you can adjust the size of the tree!
in general the idea is better than the execution
ccaydemir- Pros
- i expect it to surprise by-passers ... and myself
- Cons
- tree size cant be changed through preferences pane bulb effects are limited bulb size also cant be changed classic bulbs are not very bright snow effect is ugly, golden ornaments make the tree look cheap, wait i forgot what i like about this already!
- Summary
- i like to place an illuminated tree and ornamentation lights on my desktop it is a good idea when you do not have enough space around to reflect the spirit of the season, i believe the graphics could be more elaborately worked though, somehow these did not give me the warmth the warm feeling when you like something and want it to be around more often, now i turn it on and off, and frankly it was off for i do not know how many days, but i have forgotten to turn it back on again until i received your message, i believe this may have something to do with the fan noise i am experiencing which may not have anything to do with your product, i was only being cautious to keep as little amount of applications as i could, that is why... now that i am running istat i know that the tree is not keeping my cpu as busy as i thought it would. One other point that i want to make is the desktop background; i can not make up my mind which one to apply? So i suggest you make this part of your software and offer a couple of background images to go along with the theme. How about some tunes too ... And allow me to say that the snowman is not very handsome. I would rather see the face of Santa, pleeeeease...
Oh What Fun!!!
gofigure--2008- Pros
- Very festive indeed, and it doesn't interfere with the running of any other applications whatsoever. The scenery is delightful! Makes we want a hot cuppa cocoa right here ~ close at hand. Thank you!
- Cons
- none at all.
- Summary
- Add some fun & holiday spirit to your desktop. It has me smiling :)
What a gift!

- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Very nice program with lots of usable options. I would suggest more blinking options for the tree and screen. Noted bug: Program has issues with respect to selecting the sides of screen to display the lights. Frequently lights are displayed on a screen side that is not checked off. Only way to fix it is to deselect all sides and then select the one you want.
Great Christmas Program

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is a really nice program to put a tree and lights on your desktop and have lots of options to tune it to your particuliar needs. My only recommendation is that in the next version you are giving more options for the blinking of the lights. Blinking all on and then all off is a little limiting. Different rates for groups of bulbs or colors of lights would be really nice. Thank you again for this great program and making it available for free. You have a great Christmas spirit!

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
positive: it's free, looks quite nice, has a great feature that covers dual displays and is stable

negative: it doesnt allow u to completely disable the xmas tree (disableing the bulbs is possible thou), the bulbs however interfere with the dock making it hard to read and with about 15% of cpu usage it is slighty too much. 5% only and it would be perfect.

mac os 10.3.7 on a powerbook g4.
Thanks!

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Thanks for the Fun Holiday Freeware. Works fine for me. Could use a little tweaking though like using a more traditional interface and a few minor graphical touches. Overall though it is fun and free and functional. Thanks and Happy Holidays!
Still beta huh?

- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Seems that this should be ready for this X-mas, but doesn't work correct. Sorry, even e freeware should be stable. After starting under 10.3.7 it took a while to started and dissapeard after click on it. In Terminal I found it running in background (why??) and had to kill it. After that I thought it may was because of starting from the image so I made the same expierience from the app-folder. Sorry just doesn't work, so just one star and one because it's christmas.
