Tower is a mobile app that builds communities within buildings. Tower socially connects people within residential towers, office buildings, and even temporary towers such as resorts, cruise ships, or festivals. It allows people to share ideas, goods, services, and more. They can connect based on interests, form public or private groups, and have events.The concept is inline with the new urbanism movement and sharing/micro-economy movements. We see each building as a wealth of human capital that could be leveraged to help the other people in the building. It not only closes the distance we've created in our digital generation, but leverages it to create new relationships with others around us that we otherwise may miss.Getting started is simple. First, you add your towers and introduce yourself: "Hi, I'm Andrew. I'm a developer and have worked in the building for 2 years." You can offer your skills to contribute to the ecosystem or offer items you'd be willing to share with the community: "I can help you set up your business' website," or "I'm open to sharing my camera if someone needs it!" et cetera. Then, you can see others in the building and utilize their shared skills or goods.Tower is a movement toward creating futuristic buildings in which residents have access to anything they need, are connected, and can truly be called communities. We also connect towers to local businesses and allow them to offer special deals to the residents.Our app brings people and businesses together in a new way.
