At least I didn't have to pay in advance for something that doesn't work.
Cons
Trying to convert a .mov file taken on an iPhone to .mp4 so I can edit it in iMovie. Aside from ridiculous fact that a third party process is necessary for this, I expected a straight forward experience. The experience was hampered by notification that only 30% of the video would be converted. I chose this program because one of the others does that also. So I attempted the conversion, gladly willing to pay the money for a smooth process. But no. The video was distorted in iMovie preview, wrong aspect ratio, but still didn't show when I tried to watch it anyway. The audio was there, but no video - same as the .mov. The popups to pay are insulting and annoying. How about just letting it work for 24 hours before requiring payment?
Summary
I'm new at video editing but not new to technology. This program just didn't work. With the annoying payment popups I don't even really want to try again to see if I missed a setting. Updated on Jan 18, 2018Ok. I may have been rash. Apparently the problem is with iMovie. Got that resolved and now I don't need this program at all. My apologies. I'd just delete the review if I could.
