If you charge time for money, then you need Timeloc. Have you ever finished a busy day work and realized that you haven't recorded an accurate log of the work you have carried out? Timeloc is a desktop widget that keeps track of the time you have spent working on a job or project. It will no longer be a case of guess work as to how much you need to bill your clients or assign to a project. Timeloc is ideal for both internal and external billing.

Version 2.1 includes Add/Edit multiple clients/projects feature, editable billing period increments, reports and graphing, and new sounds.

Simple time tracking software

Pros
Very simple software for tracking project time. Has a quick report that gives you monthly and daily information. Has a nice display with elapsed time and cool buttons. The time can be edited manually as well.
Cons
The report gives you daily and monthly numbers, it would be nice to have a user defined date range.

Pros
The look of the software is very classy, and does not take up much space on your desktop. It does accurately record time spent and give you options for multiple projects. It is free.
Cons
The reports feature was difficult to use. There is no way to view the total time for a project that spanned multiple days. It often did not open when from the shortcut, and does not minimize to the system tray, so it always uses space on my task bar.
Summary
If you mostly work on just one project at a time until it is finished, you may not be annoyed by the cons I listed as much. I, however, do Web design and will sometimes work on several different projects within a day and need to track them separately for billing. I also have to have several programs open at one time, which is why the lack of an option to minimize to the system tray is annoying to me. That said, the software does work well and does not take up much space on the desktop.

It has the exact feature set I need to track time for billing my clients. Because it is a desktop app it reminds me to keep my time up to date.
